The engineers at Digital Foundry have tested Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which now is at the stage of closed beta tests, and I must say that the check was not good. More precisely, the tests succeeded, but that game let us down.
We are talking about the version for PlayStation, which, as it turned out, suffers from a lack of productivity. Frame rate mercilessly sags that could be normal, e.g. for step-by-step strategy, but for an extremely dynamic shooter, most would find such unacceptable.
Studies have shown that on the PlayStation 4, in the dynamic resolution of 1080p, the frequency dropped to 45 FPS. It was varied and the resolution is up to indecent 960-pixels wide. PlayStation 4 Pro, the situation was slightly better, but still not perfect: 54-60 FPS at a resolution of 2160.
Perhaps it is because of technical issues we continue to hide the PC version that fans of eSports are waiting for the most, as it is on PC traditionally, you can squeeze the most smooth picture.
