Rumor: new Nvidia GeForce will support HDMI 2.1, the technology of ray tracing and high frequency

 Слух: новые видеокарты Nvidia GeForce будут поддерживать HDMI 2.1, технологию трассировки лучей и повышенные частоты Recently the network appears more and more rumors about the next generation of graphics cards from Nvidia. While most of the information concerns the date of the release of new GPUs, chief editor of the German online publication from tomshardware Germany Valasek Igor (Igor Wallosek) told some details of the technical specs of the graphics cards. Information has not yet been officially confirmed by Nvidia.

According to rumors, the new cards may appear just three important features:

  • Technology support ray tracing RTX (on hardware level), which already now is in the top V Nvidia Titan and Quadro GV100;
  • Support HDMI 2.1;
  • A new algorithm for the clock frequency of the GPU.

Despite the fact that RTX technology will be built into several new games, including Metro Exodus, this support graphics cards will provide better performance and best quality graphics.

As for HDMI 2.1, this standard can provide the graphics card for faster transfers data as well as support for dynamic HDR, variable frequency of updates and the following permissions:

  • 4K 50/60 Hz;
  • 4K 100/120 Hz;
  • 5K 50/60 Hz;
  • 5K 100/120 Hz;
  • 8K 50/60 Hz;
  • 8K 100/120 Hz;
  • 10K 50/60 Hz;
  • 10K 100/120 Hz.

A new algorithm for the clock frequency of the GPU can significantly increase the usual value of 2 GHz, which will improve the performance of the video card. This algorithm will also contribute to the interaction between the processor cores with the architecture of the GPUs for their more efficient work.

According to Igor Villaseca, the new generation of video cards will show a performance boost, in particular due to GDDR6 (the sixth generation of video memory). Thus the throughput of the GPU can grow to a staggering 20 GB.

Information is nothing more than a rumor, and therefore its accuracy is in question.
