Even such giants as Ubisoft have limits, and to fully develop two AAA games there are hesitant. That is what has hinted the head of the company, Yves Guillemot, again declared that the return action of Splinter Cell will have to wait due to the outstanding success of the Assassin’s Creed Origins, which now seems to be recognized as the # 1 priority.
The thing is that at the end of the third quarter of last year, the French company earned $ 725 million euros, 37% more than in the same period a year earlier, and Assassin’s Creed Origins earned twice more than Assassin’s Creed Baldur’s gate. Moreover, due to its Egyptian roots, the game is bought in Africa and the middle East. Therefore, most likely, we are waiting for the new Assassin’s Creed, which, according to the latest rumors, will be called the Dynasty, and its events unfold in ancient China.
Well, as for Splinter Cell, the series no one scored. As noted by Monsieur Guillemot, “just some games need to wait a bit”.
